Flashback 1970 Building & Furniture Expo

Kewco would erect a stand at the Wayville Showgrounds for the annual Building & Furniture Expo.

This particular year, Keith Walter built this duo design bath tub creating loads of comments and featured in the daily Newspaper.

Norm Mitchell’s caricature of the bathing experience must have made Keith’s day.

A scrub in the tub, jointly.

This delightful duo design in baths was devised by local manufacturer for the Building and Furnishing Expo at Centennial Hall, Wayville.

It is based on a $1,000 double bath available at the famous Harrods store in London, but the Adelaide one – made of cast enamel – does not carry a price tag.

“It has caused a Lot of comment,” said manufacturer’s representative Keith Walter yesterday. – “But no firm orders yet. Still, one never knows.” One never does.

But we do know that our models Christina Wedd, of North Adelaide and Colin Martin, of Seacliff, will be dried and dressed by the time you get to Centennial Hall.
